Single lever mixers

Single-lever faucets are becoming increasingly popular among buyers, they are also called single-command faucets, since they control the water jet by turning one lever. Due to the reliability and ease of operation, this type of product is becoming increasingly popular, although it appeared in our country quite recently.

The principle of operation of such a device is as follows: water, cold and hot, enters the spherical cartridge through pipes connected to it, here it mixes and enters the outlet at the required temperature. A lever is fixed on the cartridge, by turning which you can adjust the water pressure and its temperature.

The spherical cartridge of the mixer has three holes, for hot and cold water and for pouring mixed water. By turning the lever mounted on the cartridge, it is possible to achieve complete or partial coincidence of the cartridge holes with the outlet hole and the pipe linings. A complete matching hole ensures maximum water pressure.

Single lever faucets for the bathroom and kitchen have a rather complex design. Therefore, in case of a breakdown, it is not recommended to disassemble the crane yourself, only a specialist can fix it.

The cartridge in a high-quality mixer has a large margin of safety and is capable of serving for a long time, it is designed for about 250-300 thousand turns. This corresponds to a service life of about ten years in a family of four.

Single lever mixers also vary, the most durable of them are the so-called ball valves. Unlike others, which can deteriorate if small particles from the water pipe get into them, they are not terrible for globular ones.

Single-command mixers also differ in throughput. Bathroom faucets have the largest throughput, 18 liters of water per minute, kitchen faucets have a smaller value -12 liters per minute, sink faucets pass the least water – 6 liters of water per minute. That is why bathroom products have the highest cost.

Lever faucets have recently been often equipped with devices that compensate for the pressure in the water supply.
