Join us on Friday, May 2, as Hear In Rhode Island (HIRI), producer of the Rhode Island Folk Festival (RIFF), will present a fundraising tribute concert to legendary folk performer, Pete Seeger at the Greenwich Odeum in East Greenwich, RI. Hear In Rhode Island is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 1994 to present music events and educate the public about local music as well as the importance of music in people’s lives. All performers will perform songs written or recorded by Pete Seeger. Scheduled to appear are; Mark Cutler, Ed McGuirl, Avi Jacob, Beth Barron Trio, Michelle Saylors & Katherine Quinn, Beth Killian & Nicole Gauthier of How’s About Charlie, The Peace Collective, and Morgan Lane and The Passengers. Singer-Songwriters Lisa Couto and John Fuzek will host the show. Lisa is an award winning singer-songwriter, member of the HIRI board, and MC of the RIFF. John is an award winning musician and founder of HIRI as well as RIFF. Performers will also share brief anecdotes of their connection to Pete or to his music. All proceeds will benefit the 2025 Rhode Island Folk Festival which will take place on August 24 at Crescent Park in East Providence, RI. RIFF is a free music festival that is now in its 11th year.
